Online Depression Test
Managing our mental health is something we all navigate daily. Just like joy and excitement are a natural part of life, so too are the moments when we feel low, unmotivated, or overwhelmed.
Our Depression Test is a short self-assessment tool based on the PHQ-9 (Patient Health Questionnaire-9) — a widely used and trusted questionnaire designed to help people reflect on how they’ve been feeling over the past few weeks.
It’s completely free, takes just a few minutes to complete, and can help you:
Make sense of recent thoughts or feelings
Learn more about what depression can look and feel like
Get a clearer sense of what you might want to do next
Please note: This test won’t give you a formal diagnosis. It’s an initial guide to help you understand your experience and whether it might be helpful to speak with a mental health professional.
When completing this test, think about how often have you experienced these symptoms over the past two weeks.
-
Once you’ve completed the test, your score will fall into a range that can help you understand how you’ve been feeling:
Minimal or no symptoms – You may be experiencing normal ups and downs.
Mild symptoms – You might be feeling low or less motivated than usual, and some extra support could be helpful.
Moderate symptoms – Your mood may be affecting your daily life. Speaking to a mental health professional could be a good next step.
Moderately severe or severe symptoms – These feelings may be having a significant impact. We recommend reaching out for professional support as soon as you can.
Please remember: This test is not a diagnosis. It’s a starting point for understanding your mental health and deciding whether to seek help.
If your score concerns you or if you’re struggling, we’re here to support you.
